Trials of The Past

This collection is inspired by my multicultural identity and supported by personal research into historical revisionism and the effects of colonialism.
Artisanal construction, natural and consciously sourced materials and techniques, and ancient-inspired design references form the foundation of this collection. These elements are carefully incorporated to honor my ancestors and demonstrate my commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
The collection includes design elements inspired by folk costumes from the Dominican Republic, West African spiritual regalia, and 16th-17th century Southern European fashion. Its concept explores transnationalism and the divergence from religious conformities dating back to the Spanish Inquisition.
